College Football 27 Ultimate Team introduces a completely redesigned New Upgrade System. This system is built around Skill Points (SP), which are tied directly to individual player items. Players can earn SP through gameplay by completing Objectives on Items, exchanging tokens, and purchasing with other currencies. Each item has a Max Skill Point cap, allowing for continued growth.
A major addition in the New Upgrade System are Dynamic Upgrade Paths. These paths are based on position archetypes, and every path has its own OVR. Archetype upgrades improve groups of ratings associated with a specific playstyle, meaning similarly rated players can evolve into very different builds over time. This creates more variation and differentiation as player items progress. Skill Points can also be used to unlock Attribute Upgrade Paths, Ability Slots, and Chemistry Slots, giving players deep control over their roster's development.
Standouts Program: Season 1 Kicks Off
Season 1 of College Football 27 Ultimate Team is underway, highlighted by the new Standouts program. Standouts features rising stars, high-profile transfers, and breakout talent ready for the spotlight. The program introduces the Upgradeable Player System, allowing players to improve a specific item all year long, including one that can be earned just for logging in.
Players can test their skills in the Shining Stars and Diamonds in the Rough challenges to earn Standout rewards. The Standouts Field Pass offers a plethora of rewards, including coins, uniform packs, and upgradeable tokens that can be used on the Welcome Pack player.
