Cross-platform play adds a few extra checks. Confirm mode support and privacy/cross-play settings before troubleshooting.

Enable: Look under the in-game Settings → Online/Network area for the Cross-Play toggle

Invite: Use the in-game friend/invite flow (EA Friend List or PSN friends)

Settings: Check matchmaking/online preferences in Settings for the cross-play pool option

Cross-Platform Compatibility

Cross-play friendlies are supported. Both players need cross-play enabled in game (and in console privacy settings where applicable).

Common Cross-Play Troubleshooting Patterns

  • minorA friend on another platform does not appear in the invite list — Confirm both accounts are EA friends, cross-play is enabled on both ends, then restart the game/client and re-send the invite
  • minorIn-game voice chat may not carry across platforms — Use Discord or platform party chat as the fallback for mixed-platform groups
  • moderateLeague or lobby creation fails with mixed-platform members — Verify every member has cross-play enabled (game and console privacy settings), update to the latest title update, then retry; escalate to EA Help if it persists
  • moderateNoticeable lag or rubber-banding in cross-platform matches — Prefer wired connections and same-region players; test a friendly match before a league night
  • minorEA Friend List shows a cross-platform friend as offline — Toggle cross-play off/on in settings and restart the game if it persists
