The July 16 Title Update brought three new coach XP speed settings to Dynasty mode. Here's exactly how each one works and which you should pick.

Coach XP Speed Settings

  • Casual (1.5x XP) — Equivalent to CFB 26's "Faster" setting. Best for players who want to unlock abilities quickly without grinding multiple seasons. Available in both online and offline Dynasty. League commissioners control the setting for the entire online league.
  • Simulation (1.25x XP) — The balanced option. Faster than the default pace but not so fast that the Blueprint systems fall apart. Recommended for players who want reasonable progression without trivializing the long-term coaching tree.
  • Career (1x XP) — CFB 27's default speed. EA calls this "authentic long-term coach progression." Best for players who want the full Dynasty Blueprint experience where every coaching decision compounds over multiple seasons.

Why "Fastest" Didn't Come Back

EA's reasoning: "When progression moves too quickly, too many coaches reach high-end abilities too early, elite programs separate even faster, and the systems that define Dynasty Blueprint start to matter less — coach archetypes, staff building, recruiting, AD expectations, school resources, Coach Points, and long-term program goals."

Translation: EA believes Fastest broke the long-term balance of Dynasty. Whether the community accepts this explanation or sees it as monetization guardrails remains a live debate.

Microtransactions Still Exist — But as an Opt-In

Coach XP accelerators (College Football Points purchases) can be enabled or disabled by the league commissioner in online Dynasty. They are completely absent from offline Dynasty. This compromise — give players speed options but cap the free ceiling — is EA's line in the sand.
