CFB 27 Dynasty Setup Bug — CPU Auto-Spends NIL Budget Before Players Join

What is the Dynasty setup bug in CFB 27?

TeamCrafters discovered that during Online and Offline Dynasty creation, CPU-controlled teams automatically spend their NIL budgets on equipment upgrades before other users can join and choose their teams. This means later members inherit the CPU's purchases with no refund option, while the commissioner retains the full budget.

How does the bug happen?

1. A commissioner creates a new Online or Offline Dynasty and selects their team.
2. The setup flow advances to the preseason.
3. CPU-controlled teams automatically purchase equipment upgrades with their Dynasty NIL budgets.
4. When another person later joins and takes one of those teams, they are forced to accept the CPU's purchases instead of deciding how to use the full budget themselves.

TeamCrafters confirmed this behavior is reproducible in both modes. There is no way to undo the CPU's purchases after joining.

What should commissioners do?

Until EA addresses this issue, commissioners should inform prospective members that any team they join may already have CPU-purchased upgrades that cannot be refunded. The clean fix would be for EA to hold CPU upgrade purchases until after the commissioner advances past the initial preseason.
