Crossplay Platforms and Requirements

EA Sports College Football 27, launching July 9, 2026, introduces crossplay support across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (available on EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store). This marks the first time the full game arrives on PC day-and-date with consoles. To enable crossplay, players need a copy of the game, all relevant updates, an EA account, an internet connection, and a platform account on their chosen system. Crossplay is enabled by default on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. On Xbox, crossplay settings are controlled through the system settings, while on PS5 and PC, players can adjust these settings in the in-game Cross-Play tab.

Game Modes with Crossplay Support

Crossplay is available in several of the game’s most popular modes. Players can compete across platforms in Dynasty, Road to the College Football Playoff, College Football Ultimate Team, and Play a Friend modes, including Play Now and Mascot Mashup. Online Dynasty now supports up to 32 players, regardless of the platform each participant uses. This allows friends on different consoles or PC to build and manage their programs together in the same league.

How to Play with Friends on Other Platforms

To connect with friends on different platforms, use the EA connect menu in College Football 27. Navigate to the Player Search tab and search for a player using their EA Identification number or their platform identifier (Xbox Series X|S gamertag, PSN ID, or Steam/Epic identifier). Once matched, you can invite and play against each other in supported modes. Players who opt into crossplay are automatically added to the crossplay matchmaking pool, ensuring a larger community for online matchmaking.

For those who prefer to limit crossplay, options to opt out differ by platform. On Xbox Series X|S, disable crossplay through the console system settings. On PS5 and PC, you can opt out via the in-game Cross-Play tab. This flexibility ensures players can tailor their online experience to their preferences.

Beyond crossplay, College Football 27 introduces significant updates to Dynasty, Road to Glory, and on-field gameplay, making this year’s entry a major step forward for the franchise.
