Golding's First Update Came Tuesday

Kewan Lacy left Saturday night's 32-24 win over LSU in the third quarter after landing hard on his left shoulder. On Tuesday, head coach Pete Golding confirmed that X-rays taken after the game were negative and designated Lacy a game-time decision for Ole Miss's road matchup at Florida on Sept. 26.

"It wasn't nearly as bad as we thought it was," Golding said.

Lacy had nine carries for 43 yards and a touchdown before exiting. Golding indicated that Lacy's role as RB1 would not change if he can play through the shoulder pain.

Lacy is expected to appear on the Rebels' initial player availability report Wednesday evening. The SEC updates those reports nightly, with final designations due 90 minutes before kickoff on game day.
